Employment and Internship Opportunities

The Oklahoma State Senate Democrats are always seeking committed individuals willing to work hard to maintain a Democratic majority in the State Senate. Interested applicants should complete the form below and email it ward@oksenatedemocrats.com.

The OSSD is the chief political, fundraising and electioneering arm for the Democratic caucus of the Oklahoma State Senate as well as its candidates. We assist with building state legislative campaigns from the ground up and providing our candidates with the resources to conduct a modern, efficient campaign.

With the legislature currently in session our members' time is more valuable than ever, and there is extensive work to be done now on the front end to prepare our candidates for a very competitive election cycle in 2008. Interning with our organization can provide students with valuable contacts and experience no matter what their political future may be as a staff member, candidate or activist.

Although the initial internship is unpaid, the experience and networking contacts participants stand to gain have tremendous potential to benefit ambitious, responsible individuals who know the meaning of investing hard work in a cause. When special opportunities come up, such as visits from presidential candidates and other VIP's, we make every effort to make sure our interns have access to those events as well.
